Description:
This leaflet is used to support the Northern Ireland breast screening programme. It is mainly issued by local screening centres when women in the target group of ages 50 to 70 attend for their screening appointment every three years. It explains that a standard mammogram may be less effective if a woman has a breast implant, and advises women to attend their local screening centre rather than a mobile unit. It also gives contacts for breast screening centres and includes details about the Northern Ireland cancer screening website.
